What:
A community service campaign which focuses on teen antitobacco education and awareness in support of Rexanna’s Foundation for Fighting Lung Cancer. One of the goals of Tobacco Free T.E.A.M. is to give back to the schools in the form of college scholarships.

How:
Fundraising Event which takes pledges in support of an activity, game or tournament of the schools choosing. A Tobacco Free T.E.A.M. kit will be provided to all sponsors with detailed information on how to host a successful event.

When:
We recommend that the time frame allotted for collecting pledges and funds including the event should be no longer than 7 – 10 days. Keep in mind the scholarship application deadline each year is March 15th and all scholarships will be awarded by June 1st of each year.

Incentives:

• All participating schools will qualify for a college scholarship
• All student participants will have the opportunity for incentives
• The school raising the most money for Rexanna’s Foundation will receive the Tobacco Free T.E.A.M. Lone Star Trophy

Examples of Events:

• Football – pledge per Huddle
• Basketball – pledge per Basket
• Softball / Baseball – at Bat for the pledge
• Volleyball – pledge per Dig/Block
• Tennis – pledge per Serve
• Golf – pledge per Putt
• Soccer/Hockey – pledge per Shot on Goal
• Organizations such as Student Council, Band, Drill Team, Cheerleaders may host a Tobacco Free T.E.A.M. event at an activity/game of their choice
