The HUDDLE is Making a Difference

Rexanna's Foundation is IMPACTING OTHERS....

• February 2008 - Rexanna's Foundation donated $100,000 to The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
• We are supporting a comprehensive Thoracic Center database that tracks every lung cancer patient admitted to M.D. Anderson. The database is designed to give researcher and physicians a panoramic, comprehensive view of each patient to help in developing more effective treatments and improving treatment outcomes.
• We are supporting a partial fellowship dedicated to research within the Thoracici/Head & Neck Medical Oncology Department at M.D. Anderson.
• We are supporting efforts to improve education regarding lung cancer. We supported the publication of a booklet on lung cancer being distributed to every lung cancer patient at M.D. Anderson.
• We are providing lap prayer blankets to individuals who are fighting lung cancer.
• We are supporting students who have been impacted by cancer with funding for college...see below...

March 2010 – Run for a Purpose Raises over $11k

2010 – 24 student college scholarships of $500.00 each distributed to students impacted by cancer.

2009 – 19 student college scholarship of $500.00 each distributed to students impacted by cancer from more than 5 different states.

November 2009 – Lone Star Huddle Up raises over $50k.

October 2009 – Lakeway Fall Fashion Show raises over $8k.

2008 College Scholarships Awarded! 14 students received $500.00 scholarships -- with the potential for renewal each year!

2007 College Scholarships Awarded! 4 students receive $500.00 scholarship. All recipients have been impacted by cancer personally or their immediate family has been impacted by cancer.
